Brac - Day 5

Emil wakes this morning just after 8am. Straight out of bed and straight into our room. First he checks to make sure it is morning and if he is allowed to look under his pillow. We advise that yes it is morning and yes he can look under his pillow. So, straight back to his room he runs, and we hear - "Mum/Dad she came, she came, the tooth fairy came" with pure delight and joy in his voice. He comes running out with, 2 notes in his hands and his tooth. "Mum/Dad two tooth fairies came, the Australian one and the Croatian one". He was so excited.

We all get up, have a quick breakfast, and relax for the morning. Around 10.30am, make our way down to the beach, straight in front of our apartment, get some chairs and an umbrella, and plant ourselves down for the day. It's currently 32 degrees.  Straight in we go, cool down and then it is relax-o time again. Ooh how we could get used to this, very, very easily!!!!

Emil plays a little on and around the rocks, building his own little rock pool. He was having so much fun. In and out of the water, he and dad go, having a ball. The water again is Divine. 

The snorkeling is sensational, not Great Barrier Reef sensational but nevertheless sensational.  There are so many fish to see in the water which is amazing to see in the clear blue water.

We spend all day on the beach today, only coming up to the apartment to have some lunch.  We stay until about 6pm before making our way back up to the apartment, to freshen up before dinner. We are going back into town for dinner tonight.

One of the things that Brac is really known for is it's white rocks. You see them everywhere. It's all along the beach, big white rocks, all sizes and shapes. The interesting thing is that the town folk, use this to make things out of it. All along the promenade and esplanade, there are a whole lots of different shaped blocks that have been carved and created from this rock. Even the rubbish bins along the promenade and esplanade have been made from this rock. It is so cool to see. They also have used this rock to make merchandise, such as, plates, crosses, vases, jewellery, etc....  Trust a Croatian to make money from a rock. 

We have a pizza dinner tonight, at one of the restaurants along the marina overlooking the water. Not as many boats in the marina today, a lot quieter today.

After dinner another stroll through the town, do a little shopping, have an ice-cream and then head back to the apartment.

We get back to the apartment around 10.30pm. Watch some TV and then straight to bed.
