Zadar - Day 2

Up we get today, just after 8pm. Straight down to the pool to reserve some chairs, and then go to breakfast. Once again, so much to choose from. We have breakfast and then Emil wants to go straight to Falky Land (kids club), he is not interested in the pool any more. We drop him off and then get ourselves ready for the pool.  Marjan and I plan to spend the whole day by the pool. Another relax-o day.

We check on Emil to see if we wants to spend some time with us, but at this stage, no chance, it's kids club he wants. So we relax outside, while he plays inside.

We collect our boy for lunch, and then convince him to spend some time with us in the pool. Temperature is 32 degrees, and very, very warm. We have so much fun, just splashing around, and again the slide getting another workout.

It's around 4pm before Emil decides he wants to go back to the kids club. They are outside on the stage doing some dancing and Emil is right up the front. The only boy amongst all the girls. That's our boy. He stays with them for the remainder of the day, even has dinner with them. We don't know, but I think we have lost our boy to this kids club.

Marjan and I go up to room to freshen up before dinner. Have dinner on our own. A quite dinner, something we haven't done for a long time.

We were informed earlier today that the kids club do a kids disco every night. Starts at 8.15pm and goes for half an hour. So straight after dinner, off we go to the stage in front of the pool to the kids disco. Emil right up the front, having a ball once again. A smile on his face from ear to ear. He is sooooo cute.

After the disco we decide to go into Zadar Stari Grad - Zadar old town. We catch the mini-train, which takes about 10 minutes to get into town.

We get there and wow - there's a bridge you need to walk over to get the the old town, and once you get across, there a stone wall with an archway cut through that you walk under to get into the town. It looks so old and so beautiful. You walk through and it hits you, the culture, the history and the beauty. Walking around, all you can see is old buildings, cobble stone walkways and lots and lots of history. We walk through the alley ways admiring all the beauty it has to offer.

We walk down to the beach and then back again.

Sit down at a little cafe set up in the middle of some alleyways, in front off some old buildings and have a drink. It was so pretty, just to sit and relax and admire everything around you.

It's 11.30pm when we decide to head back to the hotel. What a beautiful city. WOW.
