Off to Vodice

Up we get today to a little warmer morning with not much of a breeze. We have a nice relaxing breakfast and then it's time to pack and go. Emil goes for his last swim on Krk with the girls whilst Marjan and I pack the car, collect our boy and then we are on our way.
We leave around 11am and have a good 3 1/2 hour drive ahead of us. Not the best of drives as we have a lot of windy roads, lots of traffic and at some points - bumper to bumper until we get to the freeway and before we know it, here we are. Vodice is so pretty.

We are booked to stay at Hotel Olympia. We check into our hotel and we are happy with our choice. The hotel is really nice, better than expected. We get into our room, look out the window and WOW, the pool looks amazing and big.

The view outside our window is pretty, we can see the beach. Temperature outside is 35 degrees so we get changed and straight in the water we go. The water is just perfect. We spend the remainder of the afternoon down by the pool.
That evening we go for a walk along the beach and are surprised to see just how lovely and festive it is along the beach. There are bars, food stalls, merchandise stalls, ice-cream stands, pancake carts, and the list goes on, all along the water. Really, really lovely.

We walk down by the water towards town, however stop off at a restaurant along the way to have dinner. Dinner is lovely. After dinner another stroll back down by the beach, back to our hotel.
Today has been our first day on our own.  Being with family was sensational but it was full-on all day, every day and to get some time on our own is great just to relax and chill out.
Back to our room, we all lay down to watch TV, but before we know it, we are all out. It has been a long day.
