Off to Otok Pag - Island Pag

Up today to a quick breakfast, pack the car, and off around 10.30am to Otok Pag to catch up with Marjan's cousin Bostjan and his family. We have a good 4 hour drive plus a ferry ride to get to Pag. Ferry ride was really quick, about a 5 min ride. The ferry was cool as it took us and our car.

We arrive on Pag and it isn't the prettiest landscape, there are rocks everywhere. Someone said to me that Pag is like walking on the moon. Was not sure what they meant, but now l understand. White rocks, both big and small everywhere. How bazar.

We finally arrive in Gajac which is where his cousin has rented an apartment. We drive down the street and it is really pretty. Tree lined streets and almost the feeling that you are in Port Douglas, just a lot quiter. It is very hot outside. Temperature is 37 degrees.
We get to the apartment and once again are greeted very warmly, with another feast awaiting us. We sit down, eat and drink again, but by this stage very, very little as we are full upto our ears with food. Conversation flowing and it seams as though we were together just last week, it's just like catching up on old times. Emil has hit it off with the kids, Jan and Lucija, no problems here.

We relax a little and then off to the beach we go. It's around 6pm , weather in still hot, around 33 degrees. The walk down to the beach is only 100m, nice and easy. We get down to the beach and it is full of people. The beach is nice but too many rocks, both big and small. However the water is beautiful, crystal clear and refreshing when it is 33 outside.

In go the kids, Emil could not wait, followed by Marjan, Bostjan and Jana. Me, l wet my feet and then relax by the shore with a good book at hand. There is a very slight breeze and l mean slight, but still nice.

We stay down by the water until 8pm and then head back up to the apartment for again another meal. This time a quick BBQ. What a relief.

 






















After dinner we go for a walk down to the local shops, get ice-creams and then down to the beach for a stroll along the water, then back to the apartment to sleep. It's around midnight.
