Up we get and off to breakfast. Then have a relaxing day on the balcony for Marjan and I, while Emil goes for a quick play down at the kids pool with a few friends he made from the day before.
Early afternoon we leave for Split to watch the international friendly game between Croatia and Switzerland at the Poljud Stadium, Hajduk Split's home ground. It take us about an hour and 15 minutes to get there. We drive straight to the ground and buy our tickets for 300 kuna, about $50 AUD.
The game kicks-off at 8:30pm so we have about 3 and 1/2 hours to kill. The stadium is near a marina and there are a few kafic's, a restaurant and a quiet little swimming area in this vicinity. It is about 30 degrees outside so we weren't keen on walking around for a few hours so we have a drink at one of the kafic's and then have dinner at the restaurant.
We finish dinner and make our way to the ground. The game starts at 8:30pm, after a few ceremonies the game finishes with a disappointing loss to Croatia, 2-4. Considering their effort at the Euro's this was a very disappointing effort in front of a crowd of about 10,000 people. Never mind, at least we got to see a game at the Poljud and together with Dinamo's Champion's league qualifier at Maksimir Marjan got to see 2 games on this trip even though they weren't of the highest quality.
Kum Pipi, l took this photo just for you, 'Bili su bili .......'
We head back for the hotel. Emil falls asleep in the car. We get back by midnight.
